Dr. Robotnik from the Sonic the Hedgehog games.
I know that some of you call him Dr. Eggman, but I’ve no choice but to dismiss you people as categorically insane.
Robotknik’s got the best mustaches.
ToeJam and Earl from ToeJam and Earl.
I never really got into these games as a kid and trying to play them as an adult just confused the hell out of me. But they must be good, because this is my most requested drawing.
And now it’s done! Request something else now! Preferably something with a little whimsy.
Not TOO MUCH whimsy. But just whimsy enough.
One of my favorite videogame characters: Solid Snake from the Metal Gear games.
Snake’s a sad dude sometimes. He’s kind of in over his head and he only ever realizes it too late. His demeanor is that of an anti-hero and his attitude seems to support this. His actions, however are a lot more emblematic of the traditional hero archetype, just one draped in a bit more modern (maybe post modern) trapping.

He's the leader of the bunch, you know him well
Donkey Kong from… well the Donkey Kong games.
There’s a weird soft spot in my heart for Donkey Kong in the context of a Mario universe character. The drawing for tomorrow will sort of elaborate on this concept.
Plus he throws barrels! What’s not to like?
Link from various ‘The Legend of Zelda’ games.
Link is the strong silent type… or at least the curious silent type. Games in the series (laserdisc games notwithstanding) are usually nothing short of brilliant. The series of events themselves are very similar, or identical throughout, but the experience of adventure and the way that those events unfold themselves give the series a sense of timelessness.
