Earthworm Jim from Earthworm Jim.
As a kid this was one of my absolute favorite games. Funny, weird, hypnotically violent and expertly executed. If you haven’t played the 2-d installments of this game series, you should stop what you’re doing and rearrange your near future to accomadate them. Earthworm Jim is a game about a worm who’s given the power to strike out against all who oppose him, when he gets hold of a super suit.

Some of the best 2d animation I’d ever seen in a game… and I’m not sure, but it’s probably still true today.
